Khan/Koller Review
KAHN:All through elementary and middle school I used Khan Academy. It was always a website to help me learn extra while at home on the topics i struggled with. But it has been many years since I have visited the site and it has changed quite a lot. When you log in or sign up they ask you what youre struggling with and they set up a plan for you. Watching the videos is very helpful, they go step by step and explain why they do what they do to solve. I forsure believe that in the future we will rely more on "credentialing" through the use of online courses expeically because of covid-19, it has already been an experience with school being online and getting use to virtual classrooms, so Khan is more of a extra classroom "tutoring" you could say. If i was a teacher, I would for sure use this in my classroom or knowlege my students about it so they can go home and work on mastering it.
Koller: Everyday Parenting: The ABCs of Child Rearing is one of the free course options that I found interesting out of any listed because it had to do with taking care of children, the mindset and ability to raise children. I am not sure if the credits will transfer, you will need to contact transcriptevaluation@cscc.edu I think that Coursea is different than other websites and it is up to the person using it to say if it is challanging for them or not. I personally would not use it, but who is to say other teachers and students wouldnt enjoy it.
